HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Former Huntsville City Council District 3 candidate John Stuart has announced his endorsement of Jennie Robinson in the Tuesday, Sept. 22 runoff election.
I'd like to thank my friends, family, and supporters who voted for me and believed in this campaign. I am amazed and honored to have connected with so many Huntsvillians and deeply grateful for the encouragement and confidence placed in me throughout this election.
This campaign was never about running against Jennie Robinson. I was running for our community. Since election day, I've taken time to reflect and consider the path forward. I've also had several honest conversations with Jennie about why I ran and the concerns I heard from residents across District 3. I believe Jennie listened to what I had to say.
This campaign also gave me a better understanding of both the reach and the limits of the City Council’s authority. I came away with a deeper appreciation for the work Jennie has done for our community. I may not agree with every decision or every path taken, but I can see the progress happening. Public service is not just about the visible moments. It is about showing up for the hard, unglamorous work that keeps promises moving toward completion.
For those reasons, I am proud to endorse Jennie Robinson. To everyone who believed in me and supported my campaign—and to every voter in District 3—I ask you to join me in voting for Jennie on Tuesday, Sept. 22. The ideas we raised still matter, and I look forward to working with Jennie wherever I can to help turn those ideas into progress for District 3 and for Huntsville.
